我們將每一個哀悼至親離世的家庭與親友交託在祢手中;
將無辜受害、受傷並正在住院治療的人交託給祢;
將因事件而受創、驚惶失措的所有市民交託給祢;
求祢賜下智慧與能力,使他們在恢復平靜、秩序與安全的任務上得著幫助;
我們為社群中脆弱的成員祈禱,願他們能重新感到安全與被保護;
願他們在報導時持守審慎與責任,不散播恐懼;

English Version
Prayer for the Random Attack Incident on the Taipei Metro
The Presbyterian Church in Taiwan (PCT) extends its deepest condolences and solemn prayers to all individuals and families affected by the devastating and profoundly shocking incidents that occurred at Taipei Main Station and Zhongshan MRT Station on Friday, 19 December 2025.
We express our sincere gratitude and deep respect for the swift response and courageous actions of first responders and medical personnel, who stood steadfastly with the people of Taiwan during this critical moment.
In this time of profound sorrow and hardship, we call upon the people of our nation to remain steadfast in faith—undeterred by fear or anxiety—to hold fast to hope and goodness, and to support one another with compassion, love, and faith.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.”
(Psalm 34:18)
Prayer
Lord, in this time of deep sorrow and fear, we lift to You:
each family and group of friends who mourn the passing of their loved ones;
the innocent victims who have been injured and are receiving medical care;
all citizens who have been traumatized and shaken by these events;
and the first responders and medical teams who continue to care for the wounded.
Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.
We pray for the government, law enforcement agencies, and public service institutions,
that You may grant them wisdom and strength as they work to restore calm, order, and safety;
We pray for the vulnerable members of our communities,
that they may once again feel safe and protected;
We pray for news media and social platforms,
that they may report with responsibility and restraint, and not propagate fear;
We pray for our churches,
that they may become places of welcome, comfort, and refuge for all.
Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer.
In this season of Advent and Christmas—a time of expectation and hope—
we pray that peace and joy may be restored to our communities and to this land.
Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
